What I Stand For

I am far from flawless, and I am committed to learning and growing every day. My values guide business decisions above popularity and profit. I am always interested in working with people and causes making a difference to advance humanity, social change, and environmental consciousness. I believe in preserving cultural heritage, dismantling systems of injustice, protecting the environment, and consuming responsibly. I am an advocate for more BIPOC women entrepreneurs and stronger collaboration and support among us. When women thrive, their communities do too! I value authenticity, relationships, and work that changes the narrative of marginalized communities. Simply put, I want to focus on things that matter and work with people and organizations who share these values.

My Path

For as long as I can remember I was drawn to this theme in life: Experiencing new cultures and places while leaving a positive impact on the world.

This theme has guided my entire educational and career journey. I have studied, worked, and lived internationally, earning a B.A. in International Management, and a M.A. in International Education.

Over the last 15+ years, I broadened and enriched my professional experiences, travels, and creative outlets —by learning and working in different organizations, cultures, and leadership roles. That diversity of networks and opportunities shaped and inspired me to start my own business ventures. My endeavors allow me to leverage my strengths and creativity, partnering with entrepreneurs and enterprises worldwide to bolster their businesses and advance their meaningful work —work that honors both people and the planet while transforming social and economic livelihoods.

I created this consultancy to be of service, by sharing my skills, knowledge, and business passions. Additionally, I’m the proud owner of Wind & Echo, a creative project celebrating my Hmong identity and love for design, and I am the co-founder of Zuahaza, a social enterprise and artisan collective based in Colombia.

My Connection To Working With Global Artisan Brands

I love to work with different socially conscious businesses, and there is a special place in my heart to support the global artisan sector. As a first-generation Hmong-American, the legacy of handicraft work is rooted in my Hmong culture and history.

Growing up with an appreciation for cultures different from my own, I’ve always been drawn to the rich tapestry of artisan craftsmanship across various people and places. Visiting artisan markets and meeting the makers have consistently been the highlights of my travels. I firmly believe that artisan creations transcend being mere ‘products,’ —they embody purpose, culture, and profound stories. Unfortunately, the value of artisan work today is overshadowed by exploitation, greenwashing, appropriation, and the dominance of fast corporations and mass production. I’m interested in using my work as a way to minimize the disparity and provide business knowledge to support artisan brands and their communities.

The Why

I believe there needs to be greater visibility, representation, access, and support for businesses and entrepreneurs, especially women, BIPOC, and underserved sectors who are working to make the world a better place. I’m determined to be a part of the movement and aim to be a friend and resource in the journey.
